Andrew Peters

Andrew is planning on attending UNC-Wilmington to major in mathmatics.

His favorite year at Grimsley is a tie between his junior and senior year. In his junior year, he enjoyed his theatre experiences and starred in all of Grimsley’s plays, though he enjoyed his senior course load more and found his best group of friends. Andrew’s favorite Grimsley tradition is the Spirit Week leading up to the Page-Grimsley game. He loves seeing the unique themes each year and found it especially entertaining to watch Mr. Peace interrogate his red-dress-clad friend sophomore year.

His most memorable moment is the opening night for the Fall show, She Kills Monsters. Andrew loved the cast and was proud to be part of a show that dealt with such mature themes. Though it was bittersweet knowing that it was one of the last things he’d do with Grimsley Theatre, he made the most of the experience.

Some of Andrew’s greatest achievements over the past four years include making it through all three nights of She Kills Monsters with the flu and the awards he’s received in Spanish, biology, Math 3, and pre-calc, where he had the highest grade average that year.

In the future, Andrew is most excited to learn who he is outside of his comfort zone, graduating, going to college, and seeing what life has in store.

His advice for current or rising students is: “In my experience, high school can be tricky, but if you stress yourself too much, you’re not going to be able to enjoy it. Make sure you’re doing what you enjoy, be your best true self, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”
