Blake Fuquay will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill this Fall, where she plans to major in math. Her favorite Grimsley tradition is the pre-Page game bonfire, and her most memorable Grimsley moment was naturally demolishing Page in football this past year.
Blake has participated in a wide range of activities during her time at Grimsley. She is a four-year member of the Varsity golf team as well as a captain. She also served as the president of Brooks Buddies and was awarded the Most School Spirit senior superlative—a well-deserved title, given that she attended all but one football game in the past year.
In the future, Blake most looks forward to meeting new people in college, along with being independent and being taken out of her comfort zone.
Blake’s advice for any current or rising Grimsley students is: “Don’t take it for granted! Go to the games, go to the dances, participate in campus life! Take advantage of your free education while you have the opportunity, but don’t sweat it too much—enjoy yourself! Also, I’m not sure if this is the kind of stuff you’re looking for, but I went off-campus for lunch almost every day junior year and never got caught. It's not that hard.”
